In alle projecten die ik vormgeef verwerk ik graag research, zowel binnen de beeldende kunst, geschiedenis, de maatschappij en andere gebieden. Scenario's en verhalen koppel ik aan de groeiende verzameling van research en beelden die bij elk project ontstaan.
Ik ben afgestudeerd in Production design aan de Nederlandse Filmacademie. Als production designer ben ik altijd opzoek hoe vormgeving toevoegt aan de rijkheid van het beeld maken. Voor mij spreekt dit niet alleen binnen fictiefilm maar juist ook binnen de documentaire film (en alles daar tussen), performances en installaties. In elk verhaal ben ik op zoek naar hoe met een beeldende vormgeving de werkelijkheid werkelijker kan worden.
Ik sta altijd open voor spontane samenwerkingen met andere makers, kunstenaars en geïnteresseerden die in andere disciplines werken.
In all the projects I design, I like to incorporate research, either in the visual arts, history, society, or other subjects. I link scenarios and stories to the growing collection of research and images that arise with each project.
I finished my study in Production Design at the Netherlands Film Academy. As a production designer, I'm always looking for ways to use design to add to the richness of the image-making. For me, this applies not only to fiction films but also to documentaries (and everything in between), performances, and installations. In every piece, I try to find ways to use visual design to make reality feel more true.
I am always open to spontaneous collaborations with other creators, artists and people who are interested working in other disciplines.
